Not much change

Pamela is stable.  For a hour or so she was alert and did her best to speak.  But most of the day she was sleeping.  Her case nurse suspects her brain is working hard to recover from yesterdays strokes.

We have been unable to feed her due to a choking risk.  She has lost control of her tongue.  The nurses say that even if we gave her nourishment her stomach would be unable to process it and evacuate it.

Victoria is doing her best to step up and keep it together.  It is hard for a daughter to understand why her Mom is leaving her.

Pamela’s Mom Bette Jo is a rock.  It is taking a toll on her physically, but she is a great help.

My Sister Melinda and her husband Irv from Cincinnati happened to be in SFO for a wedding and have come down for a few days.

Living one day at a time….
